No, our sauna tent does not require a building permit.
Malm is our new stove for Näver and Björk, developed over a year and a half to deliver the best steam on the market. Stam has its own, larger version, Malm XL, which comes with 60 kg of stones. In both, the heat now comes from the stones rather than the steel. That gives a softer, more even heat you can feel straight away. Here's what's new:
- Twice as many stones. The stone basket surrounds the whole stove and holds 40 kg of stones, up to 60 kg if you want more heat to draw on. Malm XL holds up to 80 kg. That means softer steam and less firewood.
- Sit closer to the stove. The stones soften the intense radiant heat, so you can place the benches around 10–20 cm from the stove.
- Warm in 20 minutes. The tent and stones are hot after about 20 minutes in Näver and 25 minutes in Björk.
- Two-stage combustion. Fresh air ignites the flue gases a second time. That means cleaner smoke and a large, even fire to watch through the glass.
- Built to last. 2.5 mm stainless steel in the firebox, 39% thicker than our previous stove, so it keeps its shape for many seasons.
- Easier to take with you. Malm weighs 23 kg, has its own carry bag and folding legs, and all the chimney pipes pack inside the stove.

Yes, it gets really hot. Our sauna tents can reach temperatures above 100°C.
The tent can be set up in under two minutes by pulling each of its five sides out with a firm tug. Once erected, secure it with ground pegs and guy ropes. Then carry the stove inside and assemble the chimney sections. Once the stove is standing securely on the ground, you can light the fire. Allow around 15 minutes in total to set up the sauna and get it started.
Yes, many customers leave our tents up all year round. However, we always recommend taking the tent down in strong winds or extreme weather.

Yes! Most of our customers leave their sauna tent up all year round. There are a few important things to keep in mind if you plan to do the same:
- UV radiation is the tent’s biggest enemy, so we always recommend our weather cover to protect it from rain, moisture and, above all, UV exposure.
- Brush off snow during heavy snowfall. If more than 10–15 cm accumulates on the roof, it will collapse. You can then pop it back up again.
- When secured with all ground pegs and guy ropes, the tent can withstand winds of up to 25 m/s. However, we always recommend taking the sauna tent down if a storm develops.
- If you plan to leave the sauna tent up permanently, we also recommend placing heavy weights along the tent skirt, both inside and outside.
Yes, they have!
The tent fabric has been tested to CPAI-84, a fire safety standard for tents. This means the fabric is flame-retardant and meets the requirements for safe use.
The fabric has been tested by TÜV SÜD against the limits set by OEKO-TEX Standard 100. The tests show that it contains no PFAS, formaldehyde or prohibited dyes.
We have also tested the materials at high temperatures with RISE to ensure they perform safely in sauna heat.
