A Sauna Tent is a portable sauna that can be set up and used at home, at the cabin, or wherever you like. Want to know more about our Sauna Tent? Read What is a Sauna Tent for more information.
We have tested the sauna tent to over 100 degrees, but we think the best temperature is around 80 degrees in the tent. It takes about 20 minutes to reach 80 degrees.
Yes! We recommend using dry birch wood for maximum effect and safety.
It is important to consider safety whether you are enjoying a traditional sauna or a Sauna Tent. Here are some safety guidelines to keep in mind when using a Sauna Tent:
The material of our Sauna Tent is also water- and fire-resistant.
We recommend 2-6 people in Näver and 4-10 people in Björk.
The stove has a total weight of 26 kg and the tent has a total weight of 22-26 kg. A bag for stove and tent included, which makes it easy to transport.
The tent can be set up in less than two minutes by pulling out the five sides of the tent with a powerful pull. When the tent is set up, it is stabilized with ground spikes in each corner and ropes along the walls. For extra stability, ground nails can also be attached to the sides between the corners. Then carry the stove inside, when the stove is firmly on the base you can start burning.
The tent comes up to sauna temperature between 15-30 minutes depending on the weather.
The heat can be regulated by making a proper fire, adjusting the air valve on the stove door, putting on the window guards for increased effect, opening and closing tent doors and finally - throwing baths for increased humidity!
No! The sauna tent does not smell after use. But it is important to follow the care instructions to extend the life of yours Sauna Tent.
It takes about 20-25 minutes for the stove to cool down after the fire has gone out. If you want to speed up the cooling process, you can also throw water on the stove. Then it's just a matter of taking down and packing up the tent!
Yes! If you have a station wagon, it is enough to put down a seat to make room for a tent, stove, stones, bucket and benches. If you have a smaller car, you may need to put down two seats.

It works great! The majority of our customers have theirs Sauna Tent set up permanently throughout the year. There are a few things that are important to consider if you are going to have the sauna tent set up permanently all year round:
The majority of our customers have the sauna tent set up on a balcony or a wooden deck. Here are some tips for anchoring on the balcony or a wooden deck:
We recommend a total area of:
Näver: 2.5 x 2.5 m
Björk: 3.2 x 3.2 m
It works to set up the sauna tent on a hard surface such as concrete or asphalt, but there are a few things to consider:
We have many customers who have had the sauna tent set up permanently for 2.5 years without problems. In order to maximize the lifespan of the sauna tent, there are a few things that are important to consider:
If you follow these recommendations, you will be able to enjoy yours Sauna Tent for many years to come. We also offer a two-year warranty and have spare parts available to share, so should something happen to the sauna tent, we always find a solution.
Yes, it works great. There are a few things that are important to keep in mind:
It shouldn't be a problem for the sauna tent to get up to over 100 degrees. If you can't quite get up to these temperatures, you can try the following:
If you try these different things, it shouldn't be a problem to get up to a real sauna temperature.
Yes, they are!
The tent fabric has been tested according to CPAI-84, a standard for fire safety in tents. This means the material is flame-retardant and meets the requirements for safe use.
The fabric has been tested by TÜV SÜD according to the limit values of OEKO-TEX Standard 100. The tests show that it contains no PFAS, no formaldehyde and no prohibited dyes.
We have also tested the materials at high temperatures together with RISE to ensure they perform safely even in sauna heat.
Our stove and the chimney are made of stainless steel, SS304. The body of the stove, which is most important for the life of the stove, has a thickness of 1.8 mm, which is the thickest stove on the market.
The stove weighs 26 kg, which is a must to get up to sauna temperature, but above all to maximize the lifespan of the stove. A thinner stove will crack, won't handle rust as well, won't come up to as high a temperature or last as many years.
We do not recommend using the stove for a permanent wooden or indoor sauna. Our stove is not manufactured for indoor use and is not properly certified to be used for anything other than one Sauna Tent.
There are a few different ways you can sweep the chimney:
We usually recommend that you sweep the chimney at regular intervals, where a guideline is after about 10 sauna sessions.
If you use dry birch wood in the Nordics or hardwood for other European markets, approx. 10 liters of wood are used per hour. Here's a video where we go through how much wood goes out and what's important to keep in mind:

The stove's wood chamber is approx. 45 cm long, so we usually recommend 30 cm long logs.
The first time the chimney is to be taken apart, it can fit properly. What to do is wiggle the chimney pieces back and forth until they come loose. You have to be patient, but eventually they will come off.
Yes, it is a consequence of the strong heat and the contrast that occurs when you pour water, it is nothing that affects function or the like.
It takes about 20-25 minutes from the time the fire has gone out until you can start handling the stove and packing up. Here we have a video where we go through what is important to consider and also some tips:

If you are in a hurry, you can also throw water on it to speed up the cooling process. Then you can pack up within minutes!
No, we do not offer an electric stove. Our sauna tents have been developed and tested together with our wood-fired stove for optimal heat, airflow and safety.
Yes, it does! This is one of the most common questions before trying a sauna tent. Our sauna tents easily reach temperatures above 100°C using dry birch wood. Many of our customers are experienced sauna bathers and are positively surprised the first time they step inside.
It’s faster than many people think. When it’s 0°C outside, it takes about 20 minutes to reach 70–80°C. We recommend waiting at least 20 minutes before pouring the first ladle of water, so the stones become properly heated.
You can usually start sauna bathing after about 15–25 minutes.
If you want it really hot, around 90–100°C, we recommend waiting at least 25 minutes before pouring the first ladle of water so the stones have time to heat up properly. Use dry birch wood in the fire chamber, pull the ash drawer out 2–3 centimeters for optimal airflow, and feel free to use warm water on the stones for an even better effect.
Yes, absolutely. The sauna tent is developed for Nordic climates and tested in temperatures down to -30°C. With dry wood and proper firing, you can achieve high heat even when it’s cold outside.
You regulate the temperature by adjusting the airflow via the ash drawer and by controlling how much wood you add. More oxygen and more wood result in a higher temperature. It’s easy to find a level that suits you, whether you prefer a gentle 75°C sauna or really high heat.
Näver fits 2–6 people and Björk fits 4–10 people, depending on how you arrange the benches. If you are 2–4 people who sauna regularly, Näver is often perfect. If you want more space, the ability to invite friends, or run larger sessions, Björk is a great alternative with plenty of room.
The only difference is the size. Construction, materials, and stove are the same high quality. Näver is more compact and flexible, while Björk offers more space and flexibility. It simply comes down to how much room you want and how many people you usually are.
We recommend ensuring you have a clear area corresponding to the tent’s total dimensions before assembly.
Näver has a base of approximately 2.5 x 2.5 meters.
Björk has a base of approximately 3.2 x 3.2 meters.
This makes it easy to plan ahead if you want to place the sauna on a patio, wooden deck, or in your yard. Many appreciate that it fits on a standard outdoor space without any issues.
The ceiling height in the center is approximately 2 meters. With our two-level bench, which is 77 cm high, most people can sit upright comfortably.
Näver weighs approximately 24 kg and Björk approximately 28.5 kg, while the stove weighs around 26 kg.
It’s robust enough to stand stable and handle high temperatures, yet still portable so you can move or pack it down whenever you like.
Yes, they are. We have spare parts for all our models and have designed the sauna tents with this in mind, allowing parts to be replaced instead of the entire product. If something happens, simply contact us and we will help you quickly.
Yes, that’s possible. Please contact us beforehand to ensure everything is compatible and safe to use. Reach us at support@bastsauna.com
Yes, we offer weather covers for both Näver and Björk. It protects against rain, moisture, and especially UV radiation, which is what wears down the tent fabric the most over time. Many customers who keep the tent set up permanently choose the weather cover to extend its lifespan. You can also sauna with it on.
That depends on which package you choose. Our Plus, Premium, and Deluxe packages include sauna stones, stone basket, and selected accessories. On the product page, you can see exactly what is included in each package. If you’re unsure, we’re happy to help you choose the right one.
Absolutely! All our accessories can be purchased separately at any time.
At the same time, we often recommend Premium or Deluxe from the start, since they include important accessories like the weather cover, benches, and water heater right away. That way, you have everything in place from the beginning and don’t need to add items later.
