Three of Europe's most respected surfers. A frozen coast. A wave that will never be revealed. And one Sauna Tent that came along all the way.
A few weeks ago, something very special happened.
Our friend and one of our very first partners, Freddie Meadows, embarked on a new journey-this time together with two legendary Big Wave Surfers: Nic von Rupp From Portugal and Andrew Cotton from the UK.
They surfed far north, past the Arctic Circle. In biting cold. In a place they will never reveal. Because just as with some fishing water and mountain peaks, the perfect wave is not something you tell - it is carried with you.
Heat between the sessions
After each surf pass they gathered in our Sauna Tent. It became a place to regain the heat, rest the muscles and talk through what was just experienced. Maybe even reflect on why they really hunt those perfect waves.
And for us, that's exactly what the sauna is all about. Not just heat - but the rhythm of rest, performance, community. A place to land.
To ours Sauna Tent Got to participate in such a trip - along with some of the world's most dedicated surfers - we are incredibly proud of.
Who are they?
Freddie Meadows is Sweden's most experienced professional surfers. After ten years on the competition scene, he chose to follow his heart and start exploring Scandinavian coasts - with the goal of finding world -class waves in our northern waters.
Nic von Rupp Coming from Portugal and is known for surfing some of the biggest waves ever at Nazaré. He is a multiple championship winner, documentary filmmaker and has twice been nominated for the World Surf League's "Big Wave Performance of the Year".
Andrew Cotton, born in the United Kingdom, is a pioneer in Big Wave Surfing in Europe. He has Towat in surfing legends in record -sized waves, been globally noticed and pushed the limits of what British surfing can be - while combining his career with life as a toddler parent.
Sauna + surf = obvious combination
There is something special in the contrast between cold and heat, performance and stillness. The chaos of the waves meets the calm tent. And for those who surf in Arctic conditions, the sauna is not a luxury - it is a matter of course.
Where the next wave happens? We don't know that. And we won't know either.
But one thing is certain: ours Sauna Tent Will be there.
